Military land transferred to Murmansk
The land of four closed military towns in the Kola Peninsula has been officially transferred from the Ministry of Defence to the Murmansk Oblast.
The Federal Registration Service has transferred the lands of the closed military towns of Skalisty, Gadzhievo, Polyarny and Snezhnegorsk to the Murmansk Oblast, Murman.ru reports.
The lands have previously remained under the full jurisdiction of the federal Defence Ministry.
Despite the re-registration, however, the military towns in the region are likely to remain closed
