In a recent meeting in the Russian National Counter-terrorism Committee (NAK), Murmansk Governor Yuri Yevdokimov stressed that Russia should use ”all possible resources on securing its leading position in the Arctic waters“. He also proposed to include representatives of the NAK in the newly founded Russian Arctic Council.
According to Rosbaltnord.ru, the governor won the full support from all the members of the Counter-terrorism Committee. Mr. Yevdokimov’s proposals were also included in the meeting protocols.
